Millwork Fabricator

Moniker Building Co is looking to add a millwork fabricator to join our amazing team. We are looking for someone who enjoys problem solving through the wonderful world of custom and well-designed elements and furniture. We pride ourselves in the experience we provide our clients through positive and creative problem solving, as well as our teams ability to deliver well executed products and installations with respect and responsibility. Over the years we have built a wonderful client list consisting of some of the top hospitality and commercial spaces as well as high end residential. Essential Job Functions:

  • Prepare materials and products for fabrication, including cutting, sanding, grinding, preparing layouts and link jigs

  • Work from drawings and study specifications to construct project

  • Perform fabrication work - aligning, fitting, measuring, laying out and inspecting parts, marking cut lines, studying specifications, gathering materials and operating machinery

  • Ensure all measurements and sizes are correct - measure twice and cut once

  • Ensure that all product is created the way it was designed, according to the client’s specifications and meeting Moniker’s Standards

  • Meet project budget expectations as provided by Shop Foreman

  • Follow Moniker’s Shop Standards and operate machinery safely

  • Recommend measures to improve production methods, equipment performance and quality of product

  • Be responsible for maintaining an organized station cleaning up as you go

  • Follow Moniker Shop Standards

  • Learn the ins and outs of the machines and daily/weekly maintenance of the machines, according to Shop Forman under Moniker Shop Standards

 

Qualifications:

  • Strong understanding of all Shop Standards

  • At least 3 years experience in fine wood/millwork/cabinetry including installation 

  • Strong ability and desire to learn

  • Patience and attention to detail

  • Responsible and respectful

  • Commitment to excellence and quality in your work

  • Emphasis on shop safety, organization and cleanliness

  • Understanding of math and measurements

  • Effective communication skills

  • Proactive self-starter
